An Interview with Noah
Hello, today I had the pleasure of meeting Noah from the Bible. He lived for 950 years (making him a rather old man compared to our standards) and liked to where a long robe and sandals. I asked him quite a few questions and here are some of them below:
.What would you have eaten on the ark? A: We ate all sorts of things: after all, God told us to bring all food that can be eaten for us and the animals
.Was it difficult for you to leave your house and almost everything you had ever known behind? A: Yes it was. I had lots of other family and friends as well as almost everything I owned and I ended up leaving it all behind. It was worth it though!
.Were you happy to be back on dry land again after the flood? A: Yes. I had been starting to get used to being on a boat all the time but I was happier on dry land. Probably because it doesn't move as much
.What was it like seeing a rainbow for the first time? A: It was amazing. I had never seen anything more colourful and beautiful
.Was it lonely on the ark? A: I have to admit that it did get lonely occasionally. But then I would remember that God was with me and I wouldn't feel as lonely anymore
.What was it like being the only person in the world (apart from the rest of your family) who believed in God? A: It was a bit sad that no-one else believed the way I did and that they had to pay the price for it. Oh well, they must have deserved it.
.Were you worried about the flood and what God asked you to do? A: I was a bit. After all, who wouldn't be worried about a flood, especially one covering the entire world? I was a bit worried that I might not get the ark finished in time, but with God's help we did
.Did you even know how to build the ark? A: Not exactly. No-one had ever tried building a boat that big and we ourselves weren't great at building boats either. Still, we managed to do it with God's help
.Why did you choose to send out the raven before the dove? A: Well, it sounded like a good idea at first, but I sent the raven out because of its good eyesight, it's intelligence and because, like all birds, it would need somewhere to land eventually. However, it didn't turn out the way I expected so I sent out the dove
.Why did you build an altar to God after the flood? A: I built an altar to God to thank him for saving us from the flood
